Responsibilities
- The Regional Workplace Strategist (RWS) role for our EMEA region is central to our ability to deliver the best workplace experience for our employees. In support of the EMEA Regional Team, this role will:
- Produce workplace assessments (with the support of a space programmer) for the Portfolio and Transaction teams to enable site renewal and/or new selection
- Coordinate the completion and presentation of test fits from our design partner firm to enable site evaluations
- Provide design direction for Small to Large sized construction projects throughout the EMEA region. Participating in calls with project teams across multiple time zones will be required – although most calls do occur during regular business hours.
- Manage the Project Design Review program (a 3rd party review) for the EMEA region to insure projects meet Microsoft Design Guidelines
- Implement Pilots as part of our ‘test and learn’ program to continuously improve our workspaces
- Give feedback to our Center of Innovation (COI) team to refine our workplace solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Microsoft business units and changing work patterns of our employees
- Give periodic presentations on the Microsoft Workplace (virtually and in person), and occasionally tour Microsoft customers through recently completed projects.
- Participate in virtual team calls with the entire team to share learnings, have group discussions and listen to workplace subject matter presentations. Since our team is global, these calls will occur across a range of time zones and alternate between early morning, mid-day and evening – attendance is required.

Key Skills and Knowledge
- Deep knowledge and passion about the value of workplace strategies and its impact on employee experience and real estate strategies.
- Experience and leadership in interior workplace design. Proven track record of executing projects first hand reflecting best practices
- Ability to evangelize, communicate and collaborate well at all levels of the company (CRM)
- Experience with workplace change management programs and communications with impacted leaders and staff.
- Proficiency to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects and/or large-scale cross-group initiatives, while having the ability to work independently and adhere to timelines and commitments in a dynamic, unstructured environment.
- Collaborative business partner with the ability to influence across functional and regional boundaries
- Ability and desire to embrace ambiguity, problem solve, and deliver solutions, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Qualifications
- Architecture, Real Estate, Design, Construction industry knowledge and experience required.
- Bachelor´s Degree or related graduate degree preferred.
- Demonstrable experience across the following functions: Architecture, Interior Design, Workplace Planning and Implementation.
- Demonstrable experience in multinational corporate environments
- Experience with commercial design and build projects
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills; business level proficiency in English required.
- Willingness and capability to travel withing EMEA
- Up to 25% of time may be required for domestic and international travel.
