Job Description

  • Our customers mean everything to us. In fact, we’re obsessed with them. And, as we continue to evolve, the one thing that remains constant is that we’ll always keep this customer obsession at the core of what we do.

Within Global Trading, our core mission is to enable ASOS to achieve global success. We achieve this by supporting ASOS to understand performance at regional level to inform trading decisions, minimize risk and realise opportunity. We ensure that we are responding to changes in our customer behaviour and commercial landscape at Hub level through effective insight and analysis, and we articulate performance of key KPIs to inform risk or opportunities in the financial plan.

    What you’ll be doing…

You'll be responsible for ensuring that our trading approach for the US market is fit for purpose, driving revenue and giving full consideration of our fulfilment centre capabilities.

This includes supporting the Head of Trading & Development with…

    • Delivery of the annual planning process

    • Identification of risks and ops to budget by analysing daily, weekly and monthly performance, identifying and recommending short term operational actions

    • Forecasting daily, weekly, monthly sales and key KPIs across multiple markets

    • Conducting ad-hoc analysis against under/over performing KPIs across multiple markets with consideration to historical KPI data

    • Reviewing the trading calendar set by the pricing team, to ensure it will deliver regional performance vs budget

    • Collaborating with brand and digital marketing to optimise marketing activity and spend in regions.

    • Analysing PPO across multiple markets identifying areas of focus

    • Working with global planning and pricing teams to drive improvements to conversion and other basket metrics

    • Analysing and optimising the proposition by market.

    • Influencing the testing of new propositions to aid market performance

    • Providing insight and recommendations into the local market and competitors. This will include analysis of the proposition of our key competitors, understanding the gaps.

    • Keeping up to date with regional innovation in ecommerce, online fashion retailing and logistics and how this could be impacting trade performance.

    • Successfully executing bespoke market codes.

    • Ensuring the overall team is working collaboratively, driving results and engagement at all levels through clarity of plan and direction

We’d love to meet someone who:

    • Has previous experience working with the US market - highly desirable

    • Is pro-active and commercial with a strong bias for action

    • Has strong knowledge of E-commerce KPI’s and how they impact performance

    • Has previous experience in E-commerce / Retail

    • Has the ability to work in a fast moving and ever-changing context, dealing with ambiguity and handling multiple forecasts simultaneously

    • Has the ability to spot issues, identify gaps and provide recommendations to solve them

    • Is detail-oriented and analytical: you must enjoy teasing insight out of spreadsheets, whilst at the same time able to detect patterns and tie them to bigger issues.

    • Is comfortable with working in global organisations with a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse workforce

    What's in it for you?

    • Competitive salary, bonus and pension matching

    • Life insurance, free private medical care, cycle to work scheme + more

    • A bespoke flexible benefits scheme catered to you

    • Best in class Learning & Development schemes and career development programmes

    • 25 days holiday + never work on your birthday again!

    • Free modern onsite gym, plus personal training and wellness rooms

    • A dynamic social environment, from company-wide sports days, charity days, ‘Give A Week Away’ opportunities to visit our charity partners in India & company-wide celebrations to name just a few

    • Huge staff discounts and sample sales
