Ultra Fast Fresh is looking to hire a Regional / Senior Operations Manager to join the team that redefines fast online grocery delivery. As Regional Leader you will responsible to manage & lead up to six geographically remote operations teams.

Role: Regional / Senior Operations Manager
This role is a critical position and delivers huge impact both on the customer experience and on bottom line performance within the UK business. You will report to the UK Country Manager and you will be directly responsible for a team of Operations Managers and their direct reports. As well as motivating them to do their best, it will be down to you to plan and resource everything effectively to handle the day-2-day business as well as process improvement and innovation management.
As a Regional Leader, you will lead on numerous improvement projects (KAIZEN) aimed at streamlining activities while driving up performance and quality. Taking part in site, regional and global initiatives, working together with business and process improvement teams, you will tackle complex problems that affect customers and work to resolve them with innovative solutions. You will be given a real opportunity to shape your area with ideas that could be rolled out across the network.
Whatever you focus on, it will be aimed at ensuring service excellence whilst continuously improving our processes.
Responsibilities:
You will play a critical role in the management and direction of up to six sites and the UK network operation network. The extent of your duties will include:
- Maintain health and safety standards within your sites and promote a positive health and safety culture in the network.
- Lead, motivate and support geographically remote teams within a time-sensitive and demanding environment. This will include the setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports.
- Drive innovation and change within the network and contribute in cross-functional initiatives within your sites and the broader Amazon EU Operations network.
- Be a Subject-Matter Expert on processes and activities within the GSF network as well as driving innovation and process improvement within the sites, which can also positively influence the wider network.
- Ownership and responsibility of all operation metrics across the six sites as well as weekly reporting, ensuring productivity targets are met, cost per unit reduced, errors eliminated and thus enable the teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- Operations point of contact and stakeholder manager with teams including (but not limited to) HR, Finance, Retail, Delivery, Facilities Manager, Safety, Loss Prevention and IT.
- Have consistent previous experience in leading large and diverse teams (experience in remotely managing teams and sites preferred) - Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Be competent in two or more production or supply chain areas, with an impressive track-record in a similar fast- paced logistics environment - Have a sincere bias for action and be passionate about achieving results and driving production through efficiency and process improvement. - Possess the ability to manage detail, establish root cause and be able to extract and analyse data. Must be able to demonstrate effective problem solving and analytical capability. - Thrive on change, inclined to operate with flexibility and commit the time required to get the job done - Qualification in six sigma kaizen - Experience in safety leadership within a site of more than 100 employees - Quality management experience ideally within regulation ISO-TS 9001 - Engineering, Supply chain/Logistics/Manufacturing Degree qualified and MBA in Strategy & Operations - Previous experience both in existing operational and logistics existing sites and new building launches
