Position Description
Directs, plans and coordinates a field sales force to meet company sales and profit goals. Â Follows established sales processes while coaching field sales force to ensure future distribution growth by working and traveling with assigned staff.
Job Responsibilities
- Directs, plans and coordinates  the activities of assigned sales force to attain sales and profit goals; travels with sales force on a regular basis
- Continually coaches field sales force to improve understanding of sales process
- Recommends sales forecast and regional budgets; Manages budgets and expenses of sales force
- Communicates and implements  all programs with field sales force
- Reviews sales progress and develops corrective action when necessary
- Communicates with management to review sales performance and new customer expansion
- Interfaces with company support personnel as necessary to foster consistent, open communication, customer support, implementation of company programs and achievement of sales goals and objectives
- Organizes and conducts productive sales meetings with set agenda
- Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
- Ability to analyze sales trends to identify alternatives that will maximize sales opportunities
- Advanced knowledge of all Briggs & Stratton products and sales procedures
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Ability to successfully lead and coach a team
- Solid computer skills including understanding of sales software systems, word processing and spreadsheet programs
- Must be able to work independently and possess solid organizational skills
- Able to safely load, secure and operate a variety of company trailers on a regular basis
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Bachelor\'s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of highly successful sales management experience
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Domestic and/or International travel as required up to 50%
Valid Drivers License
