The Role

We have an exciting sales opportunity working with Broker Dealer Intermediaries and Insurance Carriers to drive the distribution of both Fidelity Investments, Fidelity Institutional AM products as well as Fidelity’s Thought Leadership content. The primary clients are insurance carriers offering various annuities. Additional clients are broker/dealer financial advisors who utilize these types of products within their clients’ portfolios and selected insurance agency broker/dealers for all product lines.

Your responsibilities include:

Grow sales of Fidelity VIP, Advisor and sub-advised funds through our external Insurance client wholesalers via variable annuity contracts, VULs, indexed annuities, and other product lines.

Work directly with financial advisors to grow sales across our insurance clients’ platforms.

Increase market share by delivering outstanding client added services.

Effectively develop strong partnerships in local markets within territory.

Assist financial advisors on retirement planning topics.

Serve as subject matter expert on various thought leadership content including critical components of retirement income planning.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree required

Series 7 and 63 required

CIMA or CFA a plus

Minimum of 2+ years of sales experience working within the Financial Service Industry

Experience with and ability to represent multiple product offerings including: Mutual Funds, model portfolios, ETFs, SMAs, Index Funds, alternative investments, variable sub-accounts and retirement solutions or comparable sales experience.

Outstanding communication, negotiation, decision making and multi-tasking abilities

Ability to stay organized, be inventive, and prioritize ongoing sales opportunities

Excellent interpersonal skills that translate into a positive client experience

Passion for sales and the ability to uncover and qualify new opportunities

Dedication to constant self-improvement and exhibit a competitive drive

Ability to thrive in our fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a strong team

High aptitude to learn new things quickly and adapt to new situations

Effective consultative sales and presentation skills

The Team

As a Regional Sales Consultant (Hybrid Wholesaler) your primary responsibility will be supporting and driving sales through Broker Dealer Intermediaries and Insurance Carriers in your territory. You’ll work daily to help provide valuable market insight, portfolio construction mentorship and investment product solutions to financial advisors and their firms. In your role you will be an important part of the FI Intermediary Investment & Sales distribution team and will be responsible for phone and virtual-based sales interactions, along with making in-person sales calls, partnering with your specialist teams to drive new business, retain assets and grow market share. This role will require 25% travel and is based in Smithfield, RI.
