The Regional Manager, Procurement Operations is responsible for building and maintaining systems and processes for supplier engagement that facilitate efficient and effective Procurement.
The Regional Manager, Procurement Operations will work collaboratively within Procurement and with IT, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain to build and maintain supplier engagement processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In coordination with IT and Finance, build and/or maintain efficient, standard processes to exchange pricing information with suppliers
In coordination with Supply Chain, Product Compliance and Sustainability, maintain efficient, standard methods to exchange and report information with suppliers on capacity and compliance
Review supplier performance in aggregate and coordinate efforts between other functions and Procurement Manages to ensure Quality Planning, Problem Solving and Corrective Actions are complete
Continuously assess and report supply and cost risk by site, supplier and/or product category
Optimize and implement the purchase of resins for EFP
Monitor/report NA index pricing agreements and input cost changes to inflation/deflation forecasts
Improve procurement processes and apply latest thinking in the areas of strategic sourcing, cost modeling, supplier relationship development, and total cost of ownership
Ensure data is accurate in systems that reflect current and projected supplier information (e.g. pricing, payment terms, contacts, etc.)
Analyze suppliers and markets to identify trends, industry dynamics, opportunities for marketplace advantage, and new ideas for products, processes and services.
Gather information about competitors’ materials, technologies, supply base, sourcing strategies, etc. to benchmark competitors’ costs, service, etc.

Education:
B.S. degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
Skills:
5+ Years working in procurement at a manufacturing company
Analytical and presentation skills, with ability to communicate efficiently, persuasively and credibly with suppliers, colleagues and senior management
Excellent oral and written communication
Expertise in negotiations
Presentation skills, with ability to communicate persuasively and credibly with suppliers, colleagues and senior management
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects
High level of maturity, flexibility and leadership capability
Manufacturing acumen, with ability to develop, communicate and reinforce CTQs
Technical aptitude, exemplified by education/training in Chemistry, other Engineering discipline or related work experience
Execution (Focus, prioritization, follow-up, discipline)
Financial acumen
Familiarity with Supply Chain Management principles
Strong values and integrity, keeping with Avery Dennison’s Code of Conduct
