If you want to make a difference and help build the future, we are seeking an entrepreneurial spirit to join our team as a Recycling and Circular Logistics Program Manager. The primary objective of this newly created role is to develop and grow a recycling program for the pressure sensitive label industry that offers recycling solutions for used paper and filmic release liners in North America.
This unique and critical role will also focus on developing expert knowledge and relationships within the logistics and recycling ecosystem, and collaborate with our internal innovation teams to take advantage of new and emerging technologies that will drive circularity by closing the loop on an industry waste stream.
Key responsibilities of this role:
Develop and implement used paper and filmic release liner recycling pilots including establishing project milestones and creating appropriate metrics to evaluate the pilot success
Drive project/program tasks to completion in accordance with the project scope and schedule
Develop pilot/program guidelines including participant requirements and pilot/program collection standards
Educate participants on pilot/program collection standards to ensure successful collection, sorting, recycling, high material quality, and ease of pilot/program scale up and processing capacity growth
Collaborate with cross functional teams including Sales and Business Development to create and maintain project lead pipeline
Build and maintain relationships with program participants including brands/co-packers/product end user site representatives, converting partners, logistics providers, recycling partners, and other third party processors
Overall management of pilots including improving operational efficiencies, ensuring user and participant satisfaction, and continuous improvement
Manage and prioritize day-to-day requests from external partners to ensure timely communication and provide personalized account management
Identify and develop key relationships within the waste and recycling industries
Shape strategic development of pilots and adjust pilot program design as needed to meet organizational objectives and requirements for program scale up
Collaborate with marketing communications to develop pilot/program promotional materials
Remain aware of external trends and opportunities through engagement with program participants and appropriately disseminate with internal stakeholders anticipated regulatory changes, industry trends, etc
Explore opportunities for pilot evolution such as cross functional collaboration with Procurement to leverage existing suppliers to offtake recycled content and support demand for closed loop recycling
Bachelor's degree preferred along with 5+ years relevant experience
Strong background in supply chain, sourcing, and/or knowledge of sustainability, circular economy, waste collection, plastics management preferred
Demonstrated project management skills
Knowledge of recycling infrastructure required

This position can be based in Mentor, Ohio or remote
