The Recruiting Specialist will function in dual capacity as both a recruiter and a support role. This role will manage the coordination and logistics of the assigned recruiting team as well as manage the recruiting life cycle for a reduced number of roles. The Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, screening, and selecting high quality candidates for various levels within Belk’s corporate office while ensuring the satisfaction of the hiring managers.       Â
• Develop, maintain and utilize a candidate database of top industry talent to ensure bench strength for key organizational positions.
• Partner with appropriate management to determine position requirements, job specifications, and compensation guidelines.
• Identify potential candidates using intricate job board searches, user groups, candidate referrals, networking, and web sourcing
• Understand shifting business priorities/needs with the ability to change direction with ease
• Work closely with Hiring Managers to schedule and follow up on candidate selection to maximize efficiency of the recruiting process.
• Ensure a diverse candidate pool and make recommendations regarding best practices and methods to increase the diversity of the candidate pool.
• Stay abreast of market conditions as they relate to candidate availability, compensation, benefits, and other competitive measures.
• Provide comprehensive recruiting support to the recruiting team to ensure a high quality and professional candidate experience.
• Coordinate interview schedules and agenda for candidates and Belk interviewers and ensuring all parties have accurate and timely agendas.
• Partner with Corporate Travel to coordinate and manage all candidate travel requirements including airfare and hotel accommodations
• Support the recruiting team by sourcing open job requisitions and identifying potential candidates by using recruiting strategies including Indeed, Linkedin, and others.
• Consistently review and identify resumes for open and future positions
• Manage recruiting expenses to ensure appropriate accounting
• Help create and maintain an active candidate data base
• Work with recruiting team to support the candidate offer process and respond to candidate questions as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-3 years of recruiting experience
• Experience in coordinating required
