Job Description

The Receptionist provides general office support for multiple managers with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties.

Essential Duties

  • Operate a multi-line telephone console to answer and direct incoming calls. Obtain caller's contact information and forward call to appropriate party. Take and relay messages as necessary.
  • Greet clients, job applicants and other visitors and direct as needed.
  • Provide information and assistance to clients/customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Answer inquiries from general public such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website and other related information.
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS etc.)
  • Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
  • Assist the support staff with coordinating meetings and organizes catering for such meetings.
  • Assist with duties as directed by the leadership team.
  • Assist employee traffic during weekly job fairs

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as government issued identification items, safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Math Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
