Following a recent upgrade of our Space Range and Display systems, we are seeking a Range Expert to join the team and drive the rollout of our newly improved ranging capabilities. You will have previous experience of using Blue Yonder Assortment Optimiser and will be passionate about finding new ways to solve business problems by continuously improving systems and processes. 

Key accountabilities and measures

• Leading the rollout of our strategic ranging capability, Assortment Optimiser (AO), across all Food Clusters working in collaboration with the Range Manager and their team
• Working collaboratively with Blue Yonder, TCS and your fellow subject matter experts for space and display to ensure that learnings from each space change are fed into the product team and required enhancements are delivered to the specifications agreed with the business teams
• Supporting the Range Manger to optimise the system to deliver the M&S Food range strategy
• Coaching the range planners in best practice use of the ranging system, including how to translate their category strategies into system ranging tactics while ensuring consistency between teams where relevant
• Supporting the Range Manager to embed the Assortment Optimiser ranging process, ensuring this continually evolves to be as efficient as possible
• Supporting the Range Manager to optimise reporting and sign off checks ensuring that key measures of success from customer, commercial and operational perspectives are covered off
• Ownership and development of relevant and engaging system training materials, including the ongoing management of these when amendments are required
• Conducting control vs trial tests to measure effectiveness of change (including incrementality)
• Knowledge of the retail functions, including: Space, Range & Display; Product Development; Supply Chain and Retail processes

You will have good knowledge of Blue Yonder Assortment Optimiser capabilities. You have Excellent analysis, interpretation and problem-solving skills with great stakeholder management. You have good knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Excel. You have Knowledge of the retail functions, including: Space, Range & Display; Product Development; Supply Chain and Retail processes.
