This is not just any job this is a M&S franchise range & display planner job! You will ensure the right products are ranged to the right space, in the right stores within agreed timelines. This is to provide a commercial, customer and supply perspective to ranging – ensuring customer needs are met and supporting display and customer ease of shop. You will work with the Franchise leadership team on trade planning priorities to ensure range updates are delivered to agreed timelines through effective project management.

Key accountabilities and measures

  • Lead on SRD trade planning display ensuring all ancillary space is ranged to commercial requirement, but customer and colleague needs are also met
  • Key contact on phase planning linking commercial, SRD and marketing
  • Review ancillary space performance, using data to provide recommendations going forward
  • Handle the range for a specific set of small format franchise partners, ensuring the ranges are updated to the highest standards through the application of an agreed range change approach
  • Compile and analyse targeted data to maximise micro space opportunities. Communicate results & drive impact. You will take a major role in presenting the story to partners and driving impact.
  • Coordinate across SRD, categories, partners and Retail teams to create and deliver category action plans.
  • Work with the SRD Manager to lead & drive consistency across ranging principles, data analysis and communication & engagement
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and ways of working inside and outside Franchise
  • Conduct control vs trial tests to measure effectiveness of change (including incrementality)
  • Achieve range targets, ensuring we optimise for: Customer need states met, ease of shop, operations, supply, waste and product margins
  • Provide range related management performance information, at varying levels of granularity, including: Stocking point and planogram level – helping identify further opportunity for range enhancements

You will have excellent project management with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. You will be proactivity and solution driven that is a strong team player– enthusiastic with an ability to self-motivate and empower others. You have excellent analysis, interpretation and problem-solving skill, with good presentation skills, confident communicator and ability to influence across all partner levels. You have good knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Excel and Power BI. You have knowledge of the Space Range, Display, NPD, Supply Chain and Procurement processes and critical paths and Food Analytics Query Tool (Business Objects).
