Job Description
ENGIE are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to be based within the Defence Team across the 3 RAF sites, Lakenheath, Mindenhall and Feltwell. These are fixed term contracts for 8 months, working 40 hours a week. On offer is a competitive salary and company benefits package.
The Quantity Surveyor will have responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of all additional works carried out for Core and Military Family Housing projects that require QS management. The individual will be responsible for working alongside Additional Works Supervisors and providing information and advice that will support the delivery of individual works
Job Role:
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
- Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work including compiling ROC’s and firm pricing
- Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
- Managing variations with the Client and supply chain
- Perform risk, value management and cost control
- Manage subcontractor applications, payments, final accounts, and all associated Notices in a timely fashion
- Provide advice on contractual claims, compile commercial claims for extensions of time, Compensation event and Early Warnings
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports, provide monthly cost value reconciliations
- Manage and report against the profitability of Projects
- Manage AL09 process in regards to identifying contractual risks and caveats, milestone payments on the appropriate forms, and agreeing these with Clients
- Preparing Single tender actions and Single Source Justifications
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
- Proactively develop and gain funding for pipeline of additional works projects
- Allocate work to subcontractors
- Provide advice on contractual claims
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
- Value completed work and arrange payments
About the candidates:
- Accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS),
- Good knowledge and experience in FM management
- Strong negotiation skills (Requirement)
- H&S qualifications to IOSH / NEBOSH or other standard or equivalent
- Establish and maintain good customer/client relations to ensure effective delivery and quality of work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and fluidly.
- Strong interpersonal facilitation skills.
- Project Management or Coordination
- Demonstrate good time management skills and working to deadlines.
- Adhere to all internal and external processes, procedures and regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A willingness to learn and develop.
