Asset Management Quantitative Research

Leveraging its diverse global investment management expertise and insights, Fidelity's Asset Management division is focused on delivering the best customer experience in the financial services industry. It does this by offering client solutions, from traditional mutual funds and ETFs, to managed accounts and institutional mandates. The Quantitative Research team provides high-quality quantitative support to investment professionals, while continuing to expand the cross-asset-class impact of our AI and Advanced Data Analytics program.

Responsibilities

  • Engages in data exploration, modeling, and research to augment the investment process within the Asset Management business
  • Combines fundamental research on domestic and international debt issuers with macroeconomic and quantitative analysis to support investment decisions aimed at maximizing risk-adjusted total return for our clients.
  • Provides research and analysis to portfolio managers and other investment professionals in support of our broad range of investment solutions
  • Leads development efforts to expand and enhance the technical infrastructure and reporting capabilities associated with multi-factor model risk forecasting, quantitative alpha research, big data analytics, and performance attribution
  • Contributes to the design, construction, and management of asset allocation solutions, as well as the methodologies for many of Fidelity’s investment planning tools to help investors reach their financial goals
  • Provides research and analysis to portfolio managers and other investment professionals in support of our broad range of investment solutions

Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience, either multi asset class or single asset class
  • Strong working knowledge of data analytics languages (R or Python) and relational databases
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a real passion for working in a team environment

Please see below for the salary range for work locations in Colorado only:

$100,000 – $180,000

This position is eligible for incentive compensation or an annual bonus opportunity.
