This is a brand-new role that will underpin the success of the newly created product development team. Quality engineering supports all engineering activities of a project to ensure lifecycle value is not compromised during delivery: it is costly if not impossible to recover from gaps in this work. This role underpins the success of every project, and the value of the product development team will be built upon it. To deliver, through new product development projects, products of the requisite quality to win in the global mass premium coffee market.

A bit about the role...

• Managing perpetual, and sometimes acute, tensions with colleagues and stakeholders in order to deliver the requisite quality of products for business success.
• Building and maintaining supplier and partner relationships
• Exceptional communication, prioritisation, organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage senior (Exec) and junior stakeholders, with soft and/or hard power, and instil the discipline to avoid unsanctioned requirements

• Knowledge of quality engineering practices and techniques
• Project management incl. cost control
• Knowledge and experience in embedding quality into engineering projects to deliver winning global FMCG products.
• Knowledge and experience of working on products developed by, or jointly with, third parties
• Chairing diverse project stake holder groups
• Facilitating technical groups
• MS Office knowledge, including basic database and spreadsheet skills
