Mars Petcare is hiring TWO (2) Q&FS Technology Leads (one for dry food and one for wet food).

These new associates may sit at any of our United States (US) Mars Petcare or Royal Canin (RC) sites.

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all supply chain projects have a Q&FS representative to drive compliance to relevant Q&FS standards, polices and regulations.

To lead and manage the Q&FS inputs for all capital projects across North America Petcare, in order to uphold and continuously improve Quality Standards and performance and to provide visible leadership of the quality agenda in capitol (CAB) projects.

To coordinate the assessment and implementation of all new corporate Q&FS standards into projects and ensure governance of the standards across the implementation of capital projects. As the key technical contact for regional Q&FS, this role will be responsible for effective inclusion of Q&FS inputs into projects and continuous improvement activities at a regional level. Establish appropriate change management processes with appropriate risk management practices in place.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific field.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical area such as R&D, product development, Q&FS and/or engineering
• Previous CPG experience
• Previous experience working on Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
• Travel up to 30%

Preferred Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a technical area such as R&D product development, Q&FS and/or engineering
• Previous experience in line management with a proven track record in coaching and developing teams and individuals
• Experienced in implementation of management of GFSI Quality Systems such as FSSC22000 or ISO9000

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Update all food safety programs in line with relevant capitol project work
• Responsible for effective inclusion of Q&FS inputs/compliance into projects and CI activities across NA Supply network.
• Key Q&FS expert for regional engineering of Q&FS related activities and projects
• Key Q&FS project accountability for all CAB projects in region, including Greenfield
• Provide technical support to each site to ensure project success, change management.
