What will be your key responsibilities?
QUALITY & FOODSAFETY
Guarantee and apply ISO 9001, FSS/ISO22000, Mars Standards, and all related working procedures
Develop, implement and maintain the HACCP program in the process department
Insure GMP-GHP in the area
Update Flowchart and Hazard Analysis
Member of the HACCP team
Analysis of results for verification activities, internal and external audits
Implement, maintain CCPs, OPRPs and PRPs in the department
Ensure All Associates receive necessary Q&FS trainings periodically (to include Food Safety/ CCPs and OPRPs for example).
Manage no-conformities (decide, put on hold, isolate, destruct), analyze for root causes and undertake correctives actions
Leader and key facilitator of Site’s Management Review sessions.
Leads the Food Safety Team & Food Defense as the Program owner.
Owner of (calibration) the quality control equipment
Continuously train Managers and Personnel for Quality excellence and provide advice to relevant Associates for needed training and perform active survey for new federal or state laws and/or regulations
Relay any information / communication from Central Research and Development Department to RC United States Company
Provide updated recipes into Supervision and Navision software
Supervise routine Raw Materials and Finished Products sampling plans
Owner of local palatability tests and product grading for development or/and improvement of FP
Manage local external laboratories in relation with RC Central Laboratory
Analytically process any Finished Product complaints (Prepare samples / Collect results / Communicate reports) and provide advices / assistance for trials / research of new RM / internal certification of new suppliers
Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities
Maintain the Quality information supply chain (quality control documents…)
Prepare laboratory annual operating budgets and deliver within financial commitments.
Responsible for daily product evaluation (cutting) program
CLEANLINESS & TIDINESS
Organize and manage cleaning programs to standard
Perform Housekeeping Checks to ensure compliance to 5S and hygiene standards
Set up operational cleaning operations to include development of visual inspection standards.
COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION
Participate in Shift Manager Meeting & Staff meeting along with any periodic or site reviews.
Participate to the morning briefing meeting (FMOS)
Participate in Quarterly VCO Deep Dives
Organizer of local TLT Deep Dive sessions (Agenda and details)
Provide any requested documentation to other Departments according to internal rules
Plant quality statistics
Collect data and provide statistic on plant activities related to quality,
Assure that statistics are ready and reported regularly (weekly staff/Periodic SMR and Management Review) illustrating trends to help prioritize activities around food safety and quality.
Ensure the site’s Associates have been trained and can demonstrate knowledge transfer and retention to show effectiveness of trainings conducted.
Perform recording work into Navision according to internal rules
GLM responsibilities
Direct RM Receiving workforce, Sanitation Workforce, Sanitation and Hygiene Manager, QFS Coordinator, Factory Lab Manager:
Confirm personnel planning (holidays / organization)
Attribute Bonus / Annual interview / Manage for continuous improvement
Evaluate and manage the training needs
Execute program of personnel development and specific skills training in relation with RC P&O like multi-skills program within their own department.
Create and manage role succession up to and including the potential successor for this role. This should include quality 70-20-10 development plans.
Identify & report cross training needs & opportunities within the receiving department for optimizing the performance
Manage Kronos timecard and payroll process within policy.
Establish program & documents for training (Quality analysis & ISO modules)
Identify & report cross training needs & opportunities within the receiving department for optimizing the performances
Participate in the recruitment of new associates, forecasting future needs within the department and in a manner in which one vacancy does not put at risk the operation of the department. This would mean cross-training conducted within the department to ensure none of the operations are compromised due to vacancy.
Provide coaching and/or disciplinary action where it is deemed necessary
Training: attend any training program as scheduled by company management and train any designed person in the position
MANAGEMENT & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage any RM receiving and laboratory operations within budgeted costs, productivity objectives and quality standards
Prepare, study, participate in decision, manage and validate technical work and process revisions made internally or by external companies
Provide tools, expertise, training and assistance: SPC “expertâ€
Prepare annual operating budgets and participate in overall site CAB planning. Execute responsibilities inside of established budget and participate in annual DIB (Do-It-Best) identifying specific strategies to optimize q&fs costs to drive savings in the department in support of the freedom principle.
Manage designated investment projects (Budget, time table, external companies’ intervention within the PRP process…)
Manage & be fully responsible for HSE within RM receiving & Laboratory Department ensuring training and compliance of all standards.
Manage & be fully responsible for environment protection within RM receiving & Laboratory Department
Owner of Pest Control Program and sanitation (cleanliness) Programs:
Provide guidance and perform active survey for new federal or state laws and/or regulations
Lead Regulatory, Management Review, Internal Audits along with LRQA QFS audits for Rolla site
Provide QFS guidelines, standards, processes, and leadership to the site team
Ensure QFS training is in place and tangible evidence of knowledge transfer has occurred.
Provide day-to-day support for all quality needs for the plant
Track pertinent KPI’s
Manage any potential PRIMP’s and customer complaints
