The QCC / Sample Processor role ensures efficiency, operational conformance, product quality & food safety, and continuous improvement within the site. This position functions as a member of an area team, which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products. This role is responsible to conduct quality verification protocols to ensure that all finished products meet with Mars Quality and Food Safety Specifications. Primarily focusing on Food Safe and Legal conformance, these Quality Conformance associates enable conformance to specification through the verification of execution in quality control protocols and/or monitoring of sampling and testing plans applied to packaging and product.  This resource also enables the reduction of food safety incidents and non-quality costs by the immediate escalation of any out of conformance condition detected during verification activities. Also, this role supports the maintenance of quality knowledge and skills required in operation associates for proper execution of quality control protocols and proper data documentation and records keeping. Operational non-quality related activities are out of the scope of this role such machine operator’s reliefs.

This position must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other Associates in the area as needed. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Managing shift conformance paperwork with a focus on completeness and accuracy
• Collect raw and/or finished goods samples to support a variety of activities such as the Daily Connection Point Quality Review meeting, micro verification program, product library and hold dispositioning.
• Perform several swabs to support the sites micro testing policies
• Must be a leader for quality among the production teams.
• Follow all site escalation policies for any non-conformances or any deviation from the production schedule
• Will perform various validations and inspections to support the Quality team
• Verify proper execution of packaging GRD and Code dates monitoring protocols to ensure correct packaging is used and product traceability is not compromised.
• Must be comfortable leading a production shift and must be able to coordinate the production team to complete production schedule.
• Identify and isolate out-of-specification materials, including placing product on hold, initiating non-conformances and escalating to the correct associates. They are expected to collaborate closely with Material Handling area to ensure all non-conforming products are captured in house.
• Perform inventory concessions and sample pulling administration, partnering with QFS Team.
