Job Overview

This role is responsible for driving and supporting continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System, specifically within the Good Manufacturing Practices, and Cleaning & Sanitation Practices programs.

Additionally, this role will drive GMP ownership to the associate level by actively supporting the Area Ownership program.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform GMP Audits
• Perform operations Area Owner Health Audits
• Quality incidents reactive support
• Pest incident management
• Sanitation monitoring and verification
• Internal Auditor team member
• Food Safety Team member
• Active participation, providing trend analysis and leading proactive discussions for improving compliance.
• Attend Operations Connection Points, as necessary
• Verification activities, data collection, trending, and reporting of:
  • GMP audit findings and completion compliance
  • AO Health Audit findings
  • Master sanitation schedule completion compliance
• Lead proactive GMP efforts for value stream compliance and continuous improvement
• Support collaboration efforts for interdepartmental projects
• Active in AOEO capability building through scheduled trainings and coaching
• Foster GMP engagement through learning events
• Other duties as needed

Job Specifications/Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Standing on a concrete floor.
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
• Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting to 50 lbs.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in food science / Food Technology/ Chemistry / other relevant technical discipline

Knowledge/Experience

• General knowledge of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting.
• Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems (Microsoft office, etc.)
• Ability to analyze date for trending and investigation purposes
• Knowledge and experience of manufacturing sanitation practices including the 7 steps of sanitation for wet and dry cleaning, inspections for visibly clean, and the creation of operating procedures
