Job Description

·ICG Risk Analysis (IRAUs) is an integral part of the Institutional Credit Management (“ICM) organization. The IRAU’s mandate is to deliver best-in-class credit risk analysis, monitoring and credit administration as a partner to ICG Risk and Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory’s (BCMA) shared commitment to ensuring the safety and soundness of wholesale lending across ICG.

The Transformation and Core Operations Team of ICG Risk Analysis, comprised of Transformation Process Managers, ICG Risk Analysis Administration, Controls & Monitoring, and Quality Assurance, supports the Global Head of the ICG Risk Analysis and the rest of the IRAUs by setting the strategies for and driving the execution of best-in-class risk review analysis, processes, and controls for Citi’s ICG Risk Analysis Unit.

The IRAU Quality Assurance function (QA) verifies that established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied. IRAU Management uses the results of the quality assurance reviews to assess the quality of the group’s policies, procedures, programs, and practices as relates to risk analysis. The results help management identify operational weaknesses, risks associated with the function, training needs, and process deficiencies.

· Job Description

The Quality Assurance Senior Officer executes and participates on the Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs), providing feedback, insight, and observations on any deficiency and areas of improvement, engaging with the management of the IRAUs, BCMA, Independent Risk, and critical partner stakeholders and regulators.

This role reports to the Head of ICG Risk Analysis Quality Assurance.

Key responsibilities include:

· Support the Head of ICG Risk Analysis Quality Assurance on the discussions to define the Quality Assurance function and Reviews for ICG Risk Analysis across all of BCMA’s coverage universe

· Provide effective credible challenge during QARs to IRAU Region Heads and Portfolio Managers, ICG Risk Management, and BCMA as regards to memo and process quality to ensure that weaknesses in such processes are identified and escalated as appropriate

· Under the supervision of the Head of ICG Risk Analysis Quality Assurance, support on the executing of the following:

· Consistent and objective assessments during QARs

· Subsequent follow-up on corrective actions that were raised duringQARs

· Sustainability testing of corrective actions resulting from issues raised by Internal Audit or Regulators

· Synthesize and prepare quarterly Quality Assurance Scorecard Reports to IRAU management that communicate and measure results and identify negative trends and potential solutions

· Constant interaction with the respective Analysts and Team Leads in ICG Risk and BCMA, in order to ensure that quality assurance protocols are adequate for all portfolios

· Support the Head of Transformation / COO on internal projects and initiatives

· Support ICG Risk Analysis Voice of the Employee (VOE) initiatives

· Travel (less than 10%)

Skills/Competencies:

· Quality Assurance:

· Strong background on core credit analysis for large corporate and finace industries, in order to properly evaluate process and quality breaks within the quality assurance function

· Seasoned credit officer or analyst, with experience on day-to-day credit functions associated with analysts and risk approval, with a strong background on corporate finance, evaluation, forecasting, risk identification and mitigating factors, with a focus on ultimate recommendation

· Leadership:

· Assists colleagues in identifying stretch opportunities to elevate individual and team performance and recognizes individuals based on performance

· Coach, mentor and lead direct reports to develop team strengths and improve weaknesses

· Strong awareness and adherence to the control environment including Quality Assurance and Quality Control

· Proven culture carrier

· Competencies:

· Highly Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence with and without direct authority with Senior Levels of Management

· Solid organizational skills with ability and willingness to work under pressure and manages time and priorities effectively

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority

· Technical:

· Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills

Qualifications:

· BA/BSc or higher degree in Business (MBA), or any other related subject

· 5-7 years relevant experience in a banking, credit risk management, internal audit, loan review or quality assurance review function at an investment or large commercial bank
