Amazon.com, Earth’s Most Customer-Centric Company, seeks a Quality assurance engineer to join the Global Tax QA Team to perform QA of a customer-facing products.

Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test cutting-edge applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black box testers; they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors, capable of taking up tasks from start to completion with minimal help. QAEs are responsible for understanding the product domain, defining test strategies and test plans, developing and driving test case execution and driving best practices to release high quality software to our customers. Key job responsibilities

· Define, design, and implement test strategies for distributed software applications.
· Provide estimates for QA efforts, test plan implementation, and execution of test scenarios for the application under test.
· Execute and maintain the automation scripts.
· Must be able to independently test the features, as well as work collaboratively with other team members to deliver complex changes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
· Experience in manual testing
· Experience in automation testing
· Bachelor's Degree
· A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
· Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, C#, and knowledge of Python or Perl
· Computer Science fundamentals in coding, data structures, algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis
· Experience with automation frameworks and writing automation scripts.
· 4+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or SDET
· Expert knowledge of QA concepts and methodology and industry-standard testing and bug tracking tools
· Success driving quality through process, instrumentation, requirements and testing
· Excellent communication and analytical skills
· Ability to deal ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
· Experience in any of the following will be beneficial: Ecommerce, Cloud-based deployment and operation and Service-oriented architectures
