Summary:

Responsible for providing supervisory support to Quality Manager. Supervises the product and process testing, calibration, release, documentation, complaint reduction required by:  Corporate specifications, Plant Standard Operating Procedures, FDA regulations, ensure compliance with GMP/QSRs and all applicable ISO and Country Standards, and Corporate/Plant goals.  Hours are to be split between D/E shift on Saturday and Sunday.  Two additional 8 hour shifts will be worked on weekdays, with specific days and times to be discussed and determined upon hire. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (these are primary responsibilities of the role and the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned):

  • Responsible for interviewing/hiring, supervising and evaluating QM Technicians.
  • Assure that all in process and/or finished product meet specifications for release.  Deviations will be handled appropriately.
  • Improve product quality and reduce customer complaints.
  • Develop and maintain training and development programs as appropriate.
  • Assist in validation of new equipment, processes, systems and facility changes that impact product quality. 
  • Assure compliance of manufacturing and quality control operations with respect to corporate specifications, SOP’s, Good Manufacturing Practices/Quality System Regulations.
  • Review and approve all appropriate documentation.
  • Approve (POMS) records.
  • Assist in evaluation for both QM and Manufacturing changes. 
  • Perform adhoc projects in support of Mountain Home Quality System.
  • Overall scope of responsibility may be expanded into additional areas (i.e. multiple shifts, broader range, etc.)
  • Responsible for initiating, owning, and driving PRR’s, NCR’s, and SNCR’s through to completion.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Drive engagement across QM group.
  • Perform 1 on 1 Ace check ins.
  • Create a positive work environment that drives teamwork between quality and manufacturing team.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Qualifications):

  • Bachelor of Science recommended, or may have Associates (2-year) degree with applicable work experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills and self-motivation.

Physical / Safety Requirements

  • Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends
  • Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required
  • Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time 
  • Must be able to wear applicable Personal Protective Equipment, Must be able to perform gowning requirements.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
