THE ROLE

The role of QA Team Lead works closely with their team and forms an integral link between GLH (Greater London House) Retail Team, who include Buying, Merch, Studio and Garment Tech and the inbound product receipted into the business. They will also be a key link between XPO Logistics (Barnsley Warehouse), QA Management, external processors, our returns processing centre in Selby and our Customer Care contact centre.

The QA Team at our Fulfilment Centre (FC) in Barnsley will be a key component in the continuing success at ASOS.com. They ensure that our products are the best quality they could possibly be, and that customers get great value for money. The ASOS QA team are instrumental in accomplishing our business objectives.

What you’ll be doing… 

  • Ensuring consistent inspection of products in line with ASOS quality standards, working closely with the relevant garment technologist at head office, and / or the Returns Technologist.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with head office garment technologists, processors, the returns department, FC staff and Customer Care.
  • Ensuring that all members of the team are trained to the correct standards.
  • Maintaining the departments and business’ KPI’s/objectives.
  • Capturing high risk products before they escalate and increase returns.
  • Managing the daily performance of the department/team.
  • Monitoring and giving feedback on poor performing suppliers.
  • Producing reports for feedback to the business.
  • Owning Adhoc projects.
  • Covering other roles within the department when required.

We’d love to meet someone with… 

  • Proven experience and knowledge of working with retailers on quality standards
  • Previous warehouse experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Experience of process improvement and ability to handle complexity
  • The ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Good team playing skills and show a can-do attitude.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and a natural problem solver with the ability to identify business issues, their impact and quickly drive a suitable solution.
  • Efficient in Outlook and Microsoft office specifically Excel.
