TITLE: QA Lead

LOCATION: Charlotte, NC

JOB SUMMARY: Lead data quality projects for large-scale enterprise data warehouse and data quality reports to ensure data completeness, data accuracy, data integrity, and data consistency. Enhance and scale data quality framework. Utilize data warehouse concepts, Hadoop, Hive, and ETL testing. Define Quality Assurance (QA) process and provide guidance and support to analysts. Plan, build, and execute development and testing activities for data warehousing and big data projects. Manage and lead onshore/offshore contracting resources for data quality and quality control effort. Review conceptual design documents, source to target mappings and the data transformation logic. Collaborate with infrastructure team for firewalls, SFTP, and database service accounts and access to ETL tools. Support database objects creation in lower and high environments. Design and develop ETL logic in Informatica for data quality reports. Create HTML reports for data quality metrics. Schedule and execute the ETL jobs in Tidal. Monitor jobs for failure and completion. Conduct root cause analysis; and develop high level test strategy and SQL scripts. Conduct peer reviews and review test scenarios. Create synthetic data for unit and system integration testing via TDM. Develop Hive queries (HQL) for data validation effort on Data Lake. Import and export data into HDFS and Hive using automated scripts developed in UNIX. Migrate and view source code and logs on UNIX Servers. Present test scenarios and issues uncovered in testing. Develop a SHELL/PERL scripts to automate data validation effort. Articulate documents related to data anomalies uncovered during analysis and testing phase. Utilize Informatica and Teradata for ETL testing, data validation, and troubleshooting data skew issues. Perform Big Data testing utilizing Hadoop and test data management.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 5 years of experience: utilizing Informatica and Teradata for ETL testing, data validation, and troubleshooting data skew issues; in Big Data testing utilizing Hadoop and experience in test data management; and migrating and viewing source code and logs on UNIX servers.
