Job Description

We are looking for someone to work on our Brazil Public Policy team to work on Federal Affairs, based in Brasilia, Brazil. You will report directly to our Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy of Brazil

What You'll Do*

*• Representing Uber to the Federal Government, Congress and other institutions on a number of relevant policy topics, for instance tech regulation, platform work, sustainability and mobility.• Liaising closely with Uber's local operation and cross-functional teams (Comms, Marketing, Legal) to understand regulatory market, barriers and opportunities and design/execute the Policy strategy for Uber in Brazil.• Acting as a transparent and constructive partner to build lasting relationships with policy-makers and opinion leaders, including public & private institutions, civil society organizations, industry associations, and other third parties.• Engaging to ensure a regulatory framework that enables new mobility technologies reflecting the needs of business users and end customers

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in government affairs and policy. We are open to specialists from other areas that have a deep understanding of policy issues and may be looking for a career change.• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Portuguese with a proven track record to engage policy concepts with diverse partners is critical.• A self-starter: Uber is a company of entrepreneurs, and we want to work with people who enjoy building things from the bottom up.
