Job Purpose/Overview
The PSM coordinator provides functional leadership to develop, implement, maintain, and improve PSM and regulatory programs for the site ammonia and other utility systems. The coordinator maintains records and ensures that compliance with PSM and other regulatory requirements as well as their prerequisite programs. They plan and prioritize work to close gaps and improve the safety and reliability of the site utility systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and ensure record keeping and required reporting is met for PSM/ RMP, and other similar regulatory activities for the company & contractors. Lead the site PSM team and review process to identify improvement opportunities for utility systems • Plan and prioritize work for PSM compliance • Coach and develop associates in Utilities team within the site around PSM requirements • Update SOPs, drawings, policies, and maintain PSM program documentation accordingly. • Ensure compliance with all PSM/RMP safety and health requirements, program audits and inspections, assist with mishap investigations, and assist with completion of required reports including OSHA Forms. • Outline and implement training programs for completion of PSM and RMP. • Manages the risks and costs associated PSM/RMP compliance program to include emerging regulatory issues and ongoing programs. Duties include program audits, inspections, and reports to ensure program effectiveness.
Context and Scope
• Lead gap assessment to the PSM and regulatory requirements, lead the PSM team and continuous improvement of utility systems to ensure compliance • Perform IIAR Bulletin 109 Inspections for the Ammonia System Equipment. • Perform Maintenance Tracking Sheet (MTS) Inspections for the Mechanical Integrity of the Ammonia Refrigeration Systems. • Inspect company facilities recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. • Lead continuous improvement of PSM system for safety, business continuity, and cost • Builds a network of cross functional partners to accomplish business objectives • Provides guidance and direction to others • This position involves working in a team environment with internal and external sources. This includes regulatory agency and industry peers externally.
Education and Professional Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: • BS degree • 5+ years of experience in an industrial setting managing records and compliance • 2+ years of experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g. nuclear) • Experience with audits, corrective actions, and benchmarking Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with permitting and work packages • Experience in Refrigeration or Process Safety Capacity • 2+ years of experience in a CPG environment • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in leading a team
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with records management Proven application of regulatory compliance tools Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities Exhibited understanding program management Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation Skills Preferred Qualifications: Expert knowledge of PSM Demonstrated experience or Ammonia systems Ability to travel 10% of the time IIAR or other Refrigeration Technology member
