We are currently looking for a passionate and technically savvy individual to join our P&G Product Supply (PS) Engineering Organization as a PC&IS (Power Control and Information Systems) Engineering Leader in our paper product plant located in beautiful Auburn Maine. Auburn is a global development site with Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing co-located, offering a broad range of career and experience building opportunities. The site is the sole source of Tampax production in North America but partners with other sites on global projects. Our passionate engineers are constantly working seamlessly with the central business organization in Cincinnati, our technical community at the plant not only support the local operations but also the entire global Feminine Care network across the company to rapidly roll out product, packaging initiatives as well as capacity and cost savings projects. We commit not only to driving value to the business but promoting a safety culture which positions us to be at least 5 times better in the total incident rate than our industry sector average.

Auburn is ~30mi from Portland Maine & 120mi from Boston. Maine is a four-season "vacationland" with fabulous outdoor opportunities across the mountains, forests, lakes, and ocean coastline. The site allows you to live in a rural setting or in the sophisticated coastal neighborhoods in and around Portland. Portland is a cosmopolitan coastal city with excellent restaurants, nightlife, and culture.

As PC&IS (Power Control and Information Systems) Engineering Leader you will:

Lead the development and integration of electrical and control systems for production equipment on product & packaging initiatives, capacity and savings projects

Lead the process, equipment, product & manufacturing supply PC&IS system choices (Best Value) and driving the right decisions to achieve project success criteria.

Lead the following electrical and control system activities: equipment design, installation and qualification; engineering platform change management; risk management, etc.

Lead and execute projects on-site and at other Tampax plants in collaboration with central and local resources to support the business.

Propose technology improvements to current platform standards to reduce effort, increase productivity and accelerate business goals. Provide technical and affordable solutions to increase efficiency and prevent problems from occurring in your area of responsibility, operating within our business and operating standards.

Deliver essential technical deliverables using standard P&G work processes.

Learn the process at the plant with experienced technical resources that will support you to rapidly adjust to the technology. In tandem, you will find opportunities to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the PC&IS operations and work closely with the operations team to deliver the agreed continuous improvement plan.

Develop software applications associated with PLCs, servo drives, and robotics.

Be an active leader to develop future generations of engineers joining the plant in Product Supply.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other similar Engineering degree (or other related degree and/or work-related experience).

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

5+ years of experience as a Power Control and Information System Engineer.

Experience with ABB or other robots, Rockwell ControlLogix, or RS Logix/Factory Talk, or PackML.

Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix, or RS Logix/Factory Talk, or PackML.·

Strong technical analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to relocate to Auburn Maine area and travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

PREFERRED:

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with industry codes and standards (ex. NEC, UL, NFPA 79).

Experience in reading, using and developing programs associated with Servo Drive Systems. AC/DC Drive System experience.

Hands-on experience with Industrial Controls Equipment (Including: Sensors, transmitters, and final control elements).

Hands-on experience with Industrial Robots.

Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics.

Knowledge of field instruments/actuators & control loops for process controls.
