Job Description

Our Project Support Officer would perform a vital role in shaping the success of projects and programmes at Capita. Capita has an opportunity for a determined and self-motivated Project Support Officer who is looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, business-critical programme, working with a national public sector client within the education industry.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced, methodical and structured project co-ordinator or PMO, able to engage with a diverse group of individuals at all levels, who will add value to the operational effectiveness of the team.
Responsible for coordinating the Programme teams in maintaining project controls and for producing project reports in a timely manner to enable adequate and regular monitoring of progress.

  • Accountable for project file management using robust version control and organising governance boards and meetings, together with providing support to ensure efficient operation of the programme day to day.
  • Being a main point of contact for programme responses to external requests to ensure up to date information is provided and enquiries are effectively managed, whilst engaging with both internal and external stakeholders including our client.
  • Support the reviews of project and programme management, to ensure conformance to Evolve standards and assure the quality of delivery. 
  • Responsible for managing the projects' risk and issue logs, helping to identify any on-going risks/issues, ensuring appropriate escalation and tracking progress to ensure resolution.
  • Responsible for managing the projects' change log, supporting change advisory board (CAB) meetings and document.
  • Prince2 qualified or working towards it  
  • Accredited to Axelos Project Offices P30 or relevant experience (would be preferred).
  • Proficient user in MS-Project, MS-Teams, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrable experience and evidence of working in a project co-ordination role in a large, complex organisation.
