Job Description

Capita are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our Belfast office who will be accountable for conducting basic construction cost and contract management activities and ensuring construction quality requirements and standards are met throughout the entire build.

You will be joining a specialist infrastructure business operating across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK, including Water / Wastewater, Highways & Transportation, Building, Structural and Geotechnical engineering.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control
  • Advise on a procurement strategy
  • Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks
  • Prepare and analyze costings for tender
  • Allocate work to subcontractors
  • Provide advice on contractual claims
  • Assisting in the production of Final Accounts

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified at degree level or working towards MRICS or equivalent professional level
  • Demonstrable and proven track record working for a large main contractor in the construction industry
  • An expert negotiator with a keen eye for detail
  • Confident and experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word
  • Experience of working with BIM and computer aided measurement tools
