Leading and maintaining productive working relationships with the project sponsors, work stream leads, stakeholders, users at all stages of the project lifecycle, to support delivery
Working in a delivery environment across departments / organisations with potentially different priorities, persuade and influence senior stakeholders on priorities and choices that will produce deliverable results
Working with external bodies and Cefas procurement team to secure the best Value for Money services
Ensuring the customer is satisfied with the project deliverables and any issues are resolved during the project life and achieved the outcomes within the project timelines and to the agreed budget
Working with the Principal Investigator (PI) to develop clear and concise communication plans based on stakeholder needs to ensure all relevant stakeholders are engaged in project assurance.
Promoting and supporting a positive work environment in which people feel valued, listened to, empowered, and trusted.
Business Delivery End to end project delivery from project initiation to end of project and closedown review, delivering within an agreed approach and governance structure.
Lead the tendering process and ensuring realistic and achievable project plans that meet service level agreements, in conjunction with the lead scientists and departments leads.
Preparation of appropriate project documentation including project plans, business case, risks and issues registers including escalation when appropriate, action trackers, project status reports and lessons learned reports.
Review of project progress with the lead scientist, regularly tracking risks and issues, confirming deviations from the plans, and communicating these to stakeholders.
Ensure any contract variations during the project are formally agreed in line with Cefas procedures and are incorporated within project documentation.
Provide appropriate support and challenge around the details of planned delivery activities.
Defining project resource / skill required to deliver project outcomes
Monitor project progress, budget against plans, alignment to strategic objectives and adapt delivery plans where necessary.
Support effective governance and decision-making by providing financial and progress updates that accurately reflect the delivery of milestones and value for money to customer budget holders.
