Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
- The Transformation Project Manager role will require an in-depth knowledge of Finance Operations functions and will focus on process-reengineering and operational excellence.
- You will provide leadership in delivering new processes in support of our Streamlining an Automation initiatives. You will be working closely with members of the operation team to ensure the optimal process is delivered for each initiative.
- The successful candidate will also take on Line Manager responsibilities and be key to the development of other members of the team.
- Strong change management skills will be required to drive faster adoption and reduce resistance and friction.
- You will be responsible for delivering the project on time, within budget and to the quality expected, complying with project management methodology and Capita procedures.
What we’re looking for:
- A Qualified or experienced accountant with a background of delivering operational excellence or operational transformation projects. ERP systems experience is required.
- Accountant with 3-5 years finance operations experience.
- Expertise of integrating Finance packages with other strategic solutions including Treasury Management Systems is a plus.
- Qualified in Prince 2 / PMP and experienced in Agile project management methodology ensuring planning and management of projects is comprehensive and consistent across different initiatives.
- Experienced in preparing, gaining approval, refining, and updating business cases that justify the initiation or continuation of projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management including third parties and suppliers, taking account of their levels of influence and interests.
- Excellent experience in project reporting and documentation production for the components of a project including scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities, issues and quality requirements.
- Proven ability to prioritise workload project tasks and deliver to strict project deadlines.
- Adept at financial management, monitoring and controlling costs within agreed budgets and experienced in delivering projects to time, cost & quality.
- Excellent time management skills, accurately estimating task duration and maintaining a realistic project schedule.
- Experienced in scheduling project reviews including lessons learned and retrospectives during and on conclusion of a project, providing evaluations of progress and application of methodologies.
- Skilled in change control, issue & risk management.
