What you’ll be doing:
ensuring project governance is effective, attending all project meetings as required and ensuring all billing milestones are correctly released
providing all project documentation and reporting including project financial and status updates as required (including POL, Site visit reports, Time sheets, etc.)
proactively managing risks and issues, resource constraints and prioritising and escalating for Project related issues
improving the policies, standards & practices of the project delivery teams within the division to ensure that use is maximised, and business benefit optimised
reviewing (with Head of Project Management, Sales and Commercial Manager) contractual terms as they relate to the project delivery
supporting the Head of Project Management and providing input regarding any project related issues and implications
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
Proven project management experience delivering a range of Business Change/People Change projects
Membership of professional project management bodies like APM/PMI
Demonstratable understanding of Waterfall and Agile Methodologies
PRINCE2 Foundation Level qualified (Practitioner qualification would be desirable)
Commercial awareness and ability to communicate at all levels
Strong stakeholder management skills to comfortably work in a client facing environment
Demonstrable ability to establish, lead, motivate and manage cross functional, multi-disciplined teams
Good IT skills including use of Excel and MS Project
Flexibility to travel – potentially travelling across the UK and involving overnight stays (The number of overnight stays will vary throughout the year as it will depend on the location of clients)
Desirable:
Experience of working in the finance domain with ERP / Financial Management systems
Experience of finance systems used in the Local Government / NHS (or health) domain
Good level of general IT / Networking awareness and competency
Experience of the Local Government / NHS (or health) domain
Understanding of the supplier project delivery for solutions
Experience of delivering pragmatic and commercially viable solutions
