Cox Communications is searching for a Technical Project Manager II to join the Engineering Enablement Solutions team within Engineering Enablement. You will be responsible as a Scrum Master for managing the successful delivery of EES tool/solution implementation projects using the Agile Methodology, such as the E2E Equipment Visibility initiative. As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate Agile ceremonies, planning of releases, removing impediments, providing guidance and prioritization for scrum team members, and support demos and deliverables for senior leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within budget and that all capabilities and minimum viable product requirements are delivered and function as expected. You will also facilitate the learning and growth of Agile teams, helping others develop a Lean-Agile mindset, improving practices and guiding more predictable delivery through data driven insights.
You will coordinate with resources from the Business Process Optimization team, the Engineering Data & Analysis team, the Engineering Fulfillment team, the Org. Change Management team, Communications team and other cross-functional Engineering teams located both at corporate and in the field. In addition, you will be responsible for building strong boundary partner relationships to ensure that hand-offs and dependencies beyond Engineering are vetted and included in any tool delivery.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Deliver projects on time and within budget for all EES tools/solutions
Key Performance/Key Risk Indicator tracking
Financial Management and Budget tracking as needed
Support Engineering Enablement leadership in achieving the strategic priorities and capabilities enablement through the successful delivery of projects
Managing the project pipeline to ensure appropriate resource assignments
Facilitating the process of resource & cost estimates, capacity planning, project initiation, business process alignment/sessions, requirements sessions, UAT sessions, deployment and change activities and post implementation support
Support coordination of yearly investment planning across program owners within Engineering to plan for annual project activities
Support backlog grooming, scorecard prioritization, and road-mapping activities
Oversee vendors who deliver projects or project deliverables
Identify, manage and resolve complex delivery related issues
Identify, mitigate and resolve project risks effectively
Facilitate in a way that drives efficiency and clarity in a discussion
Facilitate to effectively document actions and drive decisions
Work in a matrix environment with project sponsors, key stakeholders, Business Process Optimization, Engineering Data & Analysis, Engineering Fulfillment, Change Management, and other cross-functional Engineering teams/boundary partners
Qualifications:
Minimum:
3 to 5 years of experience in related field (i.e. Change management, process improvement, project management, Engineering, Technical Operations) or academic equivalent training or projects. • 3 or more years of business development, project delivery and client relationship management in a technology environment
Able to put user experience central, as a key success criteria of project delivery
Working experience capturing high level business requirements and decomposing them into user stories or specifications
Strong customer orientation and ability to manage customer expectations
Good executive presence, including communication and presentation skills
Working experience communicating, writing, and presenting complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred:
BS/BA degree in related discipline (i.e. Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical degree).
Working experience in one or more of the following Agile methods or frameworks: Scrum, SaFE, Extreme Programming (XP), or Kanban
Experience in telecommunications industry.
