Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will plan single or multiple projects; range in complexity. These capital projects will require inter-disciplinary engineering teams engineers and partners. You will manage all aspects of scope development, cost estimates and schedule by collaborating within the engineering organization and with other departments. We ask that you manage all resources and influence team members to resolve issues and manage conflict. You should have a knowledge of technology employed in the food industry and would also understand how the application of the technologies impacts their partners. Exposure to structured gate processes to take a product from concept to production is essential
Position Responsibilities
Travel is required to internal and co-manufacturer manufacturing plants, vendors, suppliers, engineering service providers, and any other sites required to successfully execute projects. Travel will involve domestic and international.
You will work with leadership positions within and outside the Supply Chain function
External interaction will include, however, is not limited to, equipment vendors, construction contractors, engineering services contractors, local / state / federal government agencies, and co-manufacturing organizations.
You will be a Technical Leader and an expert in Project Management and has demonstrated accomplishments and contributions to meet business needs
You will manage a range of medium to large projects
You will manage multiple project staffs of up to 5 - 15 engineering professionals (may be a combination of internal and consulting engineers)
Complete assigned projects by using workflows with Innovation, Operations and Platform Groups
Ensure that all project planning, deliverables, reporting, and spending forecasts are managed and are delivered within cost, schedule and performance success criteria
Position Qualifications
8+ years of total experience in Food Manufacturing
5+ years of Project Management experience
BS in an Engineering discipline
Have Frozen Food Experience
Experience managing several $5MM + capital projects and a progression through multiple roles in the Food Manufacturing industry
This position is located in Omaha NE or Russellville, AR
Variable depending on project timing, but up to 50% to 70% travel at times
