Role Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics Strategy and Innovation, the Project Manager Data & Analytics Innovation will play a pivotal role in transforming data-driven decision making and driving industry-leading business strategies and outcomes. Enabling innovation through external partnerships is a critical component of Cigna's strategy to provide personalized service to our customers, drive affordability in the healthcare system, and improve health and wellness.  Our D&A innovation and partnership work will have a tangible impact on enhancing our D&A capabilities, expanding our data assets, and ultimately solving high-value business use cases.  The Project Manager Data & Analytics Innovation will drive the execution of external partnership opportunities with start-ups, commercial businesses, and academic institutions.  The role will also work closely with Cigna’s D&A leaders, Technology leaders, business development team, and Cigna Ventures team. 

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate partnership opportunities with external parties, including start-ups, commercial businesses, and academic institutions
• Lead day-to-day management of the pipeline of D&A innovation opportunities
• Coordinate with internal matrix partners (e.g., Technology teams, Product teams, Cigna Ventures) to implement and execute on D&A pilots and POCs
• Establish a streamlined test-and-learn process for D&A innovation in partnership with Technology, Legal, Information Protection, and other matrix partners
• Collaborate with data science and business analytics teams in internal R&D opportunities
• Track, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness and value generated through Data & Analytics innovation and partnership efforts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred, ideally in Finance, Engineering, Math, Statistics or a related quantitative field
• 7 years preferred of industry experience solving business problems through application of innovative Data & Analytics approaching and emerging technologies
• Preferred experience in healthcare, management consulting, technology industries managing innovation efforts with a focus on Data & Analytics
• Demonstrated expertise in innovation across multiple areas including data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and automation
• Experience identifying, evaluating, and deploying successful partnership strategies in the Data & Analytics field
• Experience operating in a test and learn environment, building out innovation project pipelines, managing pilots, and scaling successful initiatives
• Experience working in a matrixed corporate environment and networking across a large company by building trust and focusing on stakeholder needs

This role is work at home / flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
