Job Summary:

This role is responsible for leading a portfolio of projects in CareAllies Operational Excellence team.  Accountable for leading mid-sized time-limited projects or components of a larger project. Will direct one or more teams of business partners involved in the evaluation of systems requirements and/or facilitate the development and implementation of new procedures/processes/or solutions to address complex business needs. Determines requirements, plans projects, establishes priorities and monitors progress. May also coordinate with other project managers for broader portfolio funded projects. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Contributions will have significant impact on key Department and CareAllies organization growth goals and objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work within a highly matrixed team, establish complex plans and drive plan execution to completion
  • Develops detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements
  • Ensures business requirements are well documented and approved by business leads and/or product owners
  • Utilizes established project and program methodology and standards to develop project plans for assigned projects. Where the methodology is not sufficient, creates and augments with new processes and establish best practices
  • Ensure business / operational readiness including but not limited to people-focused change management tasks are appropriately incorporated with clear timing and ownership spelled out. 
  • Ensures appropriate project governance and decision-making methodology are in place and adhered to.
  • Ensures integrity of original business case is maintained & any adjustments are communicated & understood by all key stakeholders
  • Evaluates project status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness.
  • Resolves issues and determines contingency plans and triggers for risks. As needed, escalates issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and team members.
  • Develops and implements communication and reporting mechanisms to maintain sponsor engagement and promote stakeholder adoption.
  • Ensures appropriate use of tools to track and monitor the financial performance of assigned projects
  • Become knowledgeable in CareAllies Products and business units with the ultimate goal of being sought out as a leader to help facilitate strategic meetings that will help further evolve CareAllies growth goals
  • May be engaged to help identify and expose the business opportunities and implications of re-engineering projects. Identifies and facilitates process design changes and executes process improvement initiatives.
  • Works on significant processes utilizing independent judgment and discretion within a large business organization or across various functional areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results required.
  • Able to influence in direct and matrix environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5 years plus of project management work experience in related field including process management.  Project Management certification preferred (i.e. PMI – PMP, CAPM, etc.)
  • Detail oriented, with proven time management and organization skills (including the ability to engage in multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards).
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, embracing change and helping others see it as an opportunity and stay focused on goals while adapting to change
  • Comfortable with raising questions, issues, ideas or suggestions to co-workers at all levels across all organizations
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written and training, along with excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Works well with larger groups from a wide range of organizations, as well as reporting out to senior executives
  • Fluent Microsoft Office skills – PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in uncertain and/ or ambiguous environments 
  • Experience in organizational change management evaluation, planning and execution preferred
  • Customer, Provider, or Product experience valued
  • Six Sigma training also valued
  • Agile delivery experience valued

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
