Job Role Summary

• Learn & build up knowledge on project related company internal process & standards, using the ExxonMobil Capital Projects Management System (EMCAPS).• Participate & coordinate & lead new projects initiation & alignment process as need. Continuously identifies project risks (scope, cost, schedule, quality, etc.) and develops mitigation strategies.• Ensure the development and execution of project deliverables, including but not limited to the following• Participates in Invitation to Tender(ITT) development, bid evaluation and contractor selection• Assist BU(customer) with development of Project Plan• Prepare Facilities Design Basis. Participates in identification& sourcing long lead equipment, assuring Front End Engineering Design(FEED) contractor support until equipment is designed to the contractor• Support /Lead HAZOP• Steward Government permits• Initiate Startup and Commissioning Plan• Coordinate Pre-Startup Safety Review• Lead Management of Change• Steward project safety, quality, cost and schedule performance• Communicate timely project status to all stakeholders• Drive internal project handling process improvement continuously• Join network meetings, work with global team & cross functional team to share & learn best practices• Develop & provide project related training, play functional expertise & advisor role to technology organization on project handling related items• Take other specific roles as supervisor required, eg safety leadership role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from recognized university• >5 years’ working experience in oil and gas / petrochemical industry.• Experience& knowledge in chemical process design is an advantage.• Familiar with China regulations and government permit process for hazardous chemical projects• Basic knowledge of project relevant tool & software, eg Auto CAD• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads & frequent changes in priorities• Be able to use English as working language
