Job Description
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience in the Project Controls function and sub functions of cost and schedule.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, schedule control, and schedule analysis.
- Experience in cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, budgets analysis, and cost variance analysis.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction or program management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Understanding of effective decision-making and creative problem solving.
Business Systems:
- Knowledge and experience using schedule software tools such as Primavera P6.
- Knowledge and experience working with standard business systems, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Communication:
- Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, verbal and written, demonstrating the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
Personal Leadership:
- Demonstrated experience working independently, organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks under strict deadlines and changing priorities.
- Demonstrated successful experience working on multiple projects with frequent interruptions, varying priorities and deadlines while maintaining excellent quality in daily work.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of related project controls experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
- This role requires a facility-specific clearance that requires U.S. Citizenship to obtain.
- Knowledge and intermediate experience with the implementation and maintenance of EVMS principles and techniques that complies with EIA-748 in U.S. Government facilities, programs, and/or projects.
- Experience in working in an EVMS environment.
- Experience in using cost processors and EVMS reporting tools such as Cobra, wInsight or Empower.
- Experience in working on large-scale programs or projects.
- Experience working with the Department of Energy (DOE) at headquarters or field office level, and/or with state and federal regulators.
