The OSCE Secretariat in Vienna assists the Chairmanship in its activities, and provides operational and administrative support to the field operations, and, as appropriate, to other institutions.
The Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA) deals with economic and environmental issues, operating under the premise that promoting economic prosperity and co-operation on environmental problems can contribute to international security and stability. The OSCE's role is twofold: a) to monitor economic and environmental developments among participating States, and alert them to any threat of instability, and b) to facilitate the formulation of economic and environmental policies and initiatives among participating States, to promote security. The Office currently comprises 22 staff members.
Within the OCEEA, the Economic Governance Unit (EGU) works to bolster economic co-operation and good governance throughout the OSCE region by promoting the principles of good governance and by supporting participating States in narrowing socio-economic disparities, developing effective migration policies and combating corruption and money laundering.
Tasks And Responsibilities
The OCEEA-EGU has launched the E-MINDFUL project (Enhancing European MIgration Narrative to Develop Further Union's Long-term actions) that aims to provide guidance on how to leverage balanced and fact-based communication on migration to foster social cohesion, de-polarize the public perception of migrants and prevent further divisions and instability in hosting societies. The project – co-funded by DG HOME and implemented in partnership with the ILO and the Observatory on Public Attitudes on Migration at the European University Institute (OPAM/EUI) - will involve countries in the EU and in the Western Balkans (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Italy, North Macedonia and Serbia).
The Work Will Include The Following Tasks
Under the supervision of the Economic Affairs Officer, the Project Clerk will, support the implementation of the Project E-MINDFUL and assist the project team in conducting their day-to-day activities.

Remuneration Package
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deduction, is EUR 1,498 a month. OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Austria.
