Product & Programme Manager (Category Expansion)
Amazon in London is looking for a Product & Programme Manager to help launch new products and programmes for our EU customers, specifically helping to launch a new business vertical in the EU Hardlines Home Improvement business.
This is a highly visible individual contributor role that requires partnering cross-functionally and cross-organisationally to align priorities and drive execution in an ambiguous space. This PM will report into the Sr. PM and will help to influence at an executive level to build a world-class product discovery and purchase experience; improve fulfillment capabilities; and generally help to define, shape and execute long-term strategic initiatives.
To be successful in this role you will excel in Ownership, Bias for Action and Dive Deep, whilst you will need to Earn Trust with multiple stakeholders in order to drive your projects forward and Deliver Results. The ideal candidate will have experience working in highly ambiguous contexts; partnering with technical teams to build innovative solutions; and solving difficult operational problems. Further, the candidate will combine superior communication skills with the analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and possess a strong will to get stuff done.
Key Responsibilities:
· Help drive the strategy and vision for a new large and un-launched business vertical; developing short, medium and long-term relevant programme capabilities.
· Champion and gain buy-in for the strategy and roadmap through collaboration and negotiation that effectively influences peers and leadership.
· Own the project roadmap, driving prioritisation and trade-off decisions cross-functionally.
· Collaborate with Business, Operations, Tech and WW stakeholders to develop, test and launch programme features.
· Lead the development of customer/user requirements to inform product specifications.
· University degree required, ideally in a technical or analytical discipline
· Multiple years of experience gained in an analytically focused role
· Demonstrated ability to manage projects (work prioritization, planning and task delegation) cross-functionally and cross-organisationally
· Fluent in English, demonstrated strong writing skills
· Expert knowledge of Excel, happy to deal with large sets of data to identify trends and issues
· Structured communicator, levering priorities across stakeholders
· Results oriented, effectively prioritising and multitasking, able to work with tight deadlines
· Experience designing, delivering and managing customer-facing products/programs in e-commerce, retail, or other digital contexts.
· Retail/E-tail background ideally in Construction
· Experience in launching new businesses/programmes/products
· Ability to write SQL queries
· Ability to use BI tools
