Position Summary:

The Program Team Manager is responsible for setting the strategic direction and providing overall leadership to the Program Team, successfully implementing business objectives, developing operational systems knowledge for all tour territories, collaborating with all aspects of the business on identifying solutions, and talent management. This position is responsible for annual workflow planning, benchmarking, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators so that goals are achieved. Responsible for all aspects of talent management, oversees and conducts interviewing, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, development, and performance reviews for existing team members. The Program Team Manager conducts regular team and individual meetings with direct reports, providing status updates on goals, new division and corporate initiatives and team procedures. Enables the Program Team to execute work product with accuracy and within set deadlines. Collaborates and communicates with the leaders of Product Development, Product Operations, Tour Management, Inventory, and all other necessary departments and stakeholders.

Primary Functions:

• Provide leadership and direction to the Program Team. Ensure team is meeting benchmarks, KPIs and intended impact. 
• Develop Program Team strategy and lead collaboration across the organization to drive initiatives and projects that will enhance the team’s contribution to the overall business strategy and objectives.
• Ensure team accurately builds and confirms all tour services across all departure dates in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develop, train and coach team to continuously elevate performance and contribution to the success of the department and organization. 
• Partner with the Information Technology team to resolve issues and create enhancements to the operational systems.
• Review, design and implement workflows and processes to improve team performance, productivity, and efficiency.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience with talent management: interviewing, hiring, onboarding, advising, coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Three to five years’ experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Self-starter: Ability to plan and organize work and set own priorities in a fast paced environment; must be able to multi-task efficiently and accurately while thinking critically; possess high attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills, is a proactive and positive professional with the ability to work well under pressure; Collaborates well with others and fosters a cooperative work environment; initiates and commits to self-development.
• Must be flexible to an ever-changing travel industry and educated in current events worldwide: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekend and holiday coverage to meet business needs.
• Possesses a fiscal understanding of impact to financial position; ability to develop and plan long and short term goals while benchmarking overall progress; evaluate business decisions while considering the tour margins and remaining guest centric; possesses deductive reasoning.
• Presents strong communication, interpersonal, and presentations skills within a diverse global community and to all stakeholders.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft applications.
