Project SEED -- Our aim is to accelerate our growth by advancing our capabilities and improving our overall efficiency and effectiveness. It means shifting how we get work done, moving away from our traditional vertical / silo mindset and embracing a more horizontal, end-to-end, cross-functional approach.

Role Summary:

This role will manage the overall program for an enterprise-wide, multi-year transformation agenda in order to deliver long-term improvement to effectiveness and efficiency across the enterprise. It will provide central expertise, governance, planning and monitoring of the transformation program, including resource management and allocation, to ensure objectives are delivered within scope, time, quality, and budget. This will require the ability to manage a high degree of complexity and navigate the organization to guide cross-functional coordination and delivery. This role will contribute significantly to strategic decisions on the direction of the transformation program, monitor performance and risks, and recommend adjustments to senior leadership (schedule, cost, resources, etc.) as warranted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of a multi-year playbook for business transformation, focused on the future vision of how Cigna will operate, organizational implications, and future value/growth drivers for the enterprise
  • Provide central expertise, governance, planning and monitoring of the transformation program, including program resource management, to ensure objectives are delivered within scope, time, quality, and budget
  • Ensure compliance, regulatory, human capital, business disruption, and other risks to the critical path are identified, addressed, and mitigated
  • Directly engage with business and functional leaders to deliver transformation program guidance, calibrate and integrate their perspectives, and overcome barriers and challenges to progress
  • Act as a change agent for ongoing innovations and efficiencies; inspire change in the business by identifying and implementing the best ways of working across the organization

Critical Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree required - Master’s degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 12+ years relevant experience, with a proven track record of success, particularly in delivering highly complex initiatives
  • Experience and/or working knowledge across multiple growth platforms, sub-business and/or functions preferred
  • High degree of flexibility and agility, works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Thrives on dealing with ambiguity and managing complexity
  • Strong relationship management and cross-functional influence
  • Ability to understand complex needs of stakeholders at all levels of the organization in order to drive sustainable change
  • Innovative and will challenge the status quo
  • Strategic mindset & enterprise thinker
  • Strong business acumen to support strategic alignment of initiatives

  • The ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively; maintains focus on higher priority and highest impact work
  • Can flex seamlessly between high-level strategic work and detailed execution of complex initiatives
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills, including ability to collect, analyze, and offer relevant insights from data for a senior leadership audience
  • Able to execute in a virtual environment; able to build strong relationships with colleagues

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
