About the Job
Be a leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced venture where you will be responsible for organizing and executing the a Cox led innovation center at a major US University on the Smart Communities team within Cox2M. As the Program Management Lead, you will be responsible for managing projects, managing program structure and working with multiple stakeholders to develop innovative solutions. The innovation center will consist of an environment to build innovative solutions from the ideation phase to commercialization. This role will conduct various ideation and brainstorming workshops, perform analysis and discovery of ideas, coordinate with hardware and software teams to develop proof of concepts, perform rigorous tests of concepts and measure overall impact of solutions. This opportunity requires someone who can not only think outside the box and imagine the art of the possible but who can manage a program to create something meaningful beyond the whiteboard. This role will interface with multiple stakeholders from Cox, the university, and the community on a regular basis. The position reports to the Director of Smart Community Solutions for Cox2M.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Maintain the order and structure of the innovation environment.
Manage innovative projects from ideation phases through commercialization
Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress of each project
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Manage the relationship with the all appropriate stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Use and continually develop leadership skills
Qualifications:
Minimum
BS/BA degree in related discipline desired (business management, decision sciences, analytics, etc.)
Excellent analytical and academic credentials with ability to push for and complete independent analysis
3+ years of experience leading projects
2+ years of experience in program management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills and commitment to develop further
Natural curiosity and tendency to question the status quo
Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders at C-level of multiple organizations
Experience managing and leading small teams
Strong background of innovation
Prior start-up experience
Preferred
Hands-on experience implementing process-changing technologies
Experience implementing SaaS solutions that include hardware components / sensors
Experience building or improving change management and issue resolution processes
Experience in product development or high-tech environment
Project Management Professional (PMP)
