Its 65+ team members are located in 9 countries around the world in order to support the Brinc global portfolio of investments which spans more than 38 countries.What You Will DoThe Program Director will work to represent Brinc in Brazil and will be responsible for overseeing the launch and operations of Brinc’s new food technology accelerator program in the region. This involves producing a business strategy to ensure the sustainability of Brinc’s operations in the new location, while leveraging Brinc’s operating blueprint to ensure best practices are being implemented. The Program Director will work closely with Brinc’s leadership team to craft a clear investment thesis and value proposition for the accelerator program, diligence startups that have been secured through the accelerator program’s deal funnel, and help drive investment decisions. Additional responsibilities include helping to recruit and manage junior staff, producing detailed annual business operating plans, and taking up responsibility for P& L. The Program Director will report directly to Brinc’s Global Managing Director of Accelerators and will be supported by Brinc’s Corporate Strategy team.T here is potential for the Program Director to be promoted to a Regional Managing Director role only after the Food Technology Accelerator program has been deemed financially sustainable, and he/she has successfully secured additional accelerator programs or revenue streams in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Define the accelerator program investment thesis, curriculum and specific value provided to participating startups Hire, train and manage a team consisting of a program manager and an assistant program manager who will have primary responsibility in the day to day operations of the accelerator program Secure Investment Partners who will use the accelerator program as a vehicle to invest in startupsSecure and manage Program Partners who will add value to the startups during and post-accelerator Establish local deal sourcing channels to ensure a strong and consistent pipeline of high-quality startups for the program Ensure that the program manager and assistant program manager are successful in aggregating important information about each short-listed startup (decks, financials, product information) and organizing a smooth process for the investment committee to properly review each startup and make informed selection decisions Organize and manage the investment committee Manage third party contributions to the program Secure resources and expertise for the program, for example, appointing professional advisors and mentors Manage the program budget, including risk allowance Establish formal reporting arrangements on program or project progress Assist the program manager in the resolution of problems that may occur Receive and review detailed reports on the program from the program managerEstablish, with the program manager, a common approach to tackling major issues that may ariseInitiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise Maintain an understanding of key industry trends and competitive landscape Execute business development and corporate market research programs by devising collection methods and then collect targeted data to identify and evaluate potential corporate partners for participation in Brinc programsInitiate small-scale market research studies and analyze findings to understand new market opportunities across different sub-verticals under the food technology umbrella Who You Are You are the most well-organized person you know! You are passionate about the Food Tech Startup Ecosystem in Brazil.You are also self-driven, smart, humble, and are excited at the prospect of joining our Brinc family of #GameChangers and helping us execute our vision to build thriving tech ecosystems around the world.Requirements Must-havesMBA or Undergraduate Degree in Economics & Finance, Business, Marketing, or related field5-8 years experience working in venture capital/accelerators, corporate innovation, management consulting, etc. Background and interest in food technology / Alternative Protein Experience with handling B2B based partnerships Proven track record of effectively negotiating business agreements and developing business relationships that impact company performanceA passion for entrepreneurship and working with startupsCan-do attitude, strategic thinker, and the ability to flourish with minimal guidancePrevious experience in working in an accelerator is a bonusMust be bilingual in English and Portuguese, Spanish is a plus Good knowledge of program and project management methodsGood knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation proceduresProactive and able to find ways of solving or pre-empting problemsNice-to-havesExperience working within the startup ecosystemExperience working with and executing investments Experience working with the food tech ecosystemInterview ProcessAt Brinc we believe in getting the right talent on board.
