Ops Tech IT provides 24x7 global IT support to Amazon Operations, including Fulfilment, Sortation, and Last Mile.
We are looking for self-motivated individual to take on new challenges and engage teams in fostering solutions to the hurdles we face. Operations Technology IT team is hiring a Program Coordinator to support internal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and initiatives. You will track and evaluate event data, and look for ways to ensure meaningful progress with the most efficient use of resources. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs while you provide seamless event execution.
Successful candidates will have experience thoughtfully planning the content and logistics for mid-scale events, good writing skills, be detail-oriented, and have excellent problem solving abilities. A global perspective and understanding of DEI and the intersectionality of DEI is a plus. He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment, understanding global Operations and their challenges.
This position is also open to multiple locations in EMEA (France, Italy, Germany Spain or Luxembourg).
· 1+ years of experience as a Program Manager / Executive Assistant / Project Coordination
· Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
· Ability to coordinate with geographically dispersed support and engineering groups
· Organizational skills and attention to detail are imperative
· Structure to complex situations, communicate, and implement them clearly
· Very good written and oral communication in English
· Experience providing executive support at management levels
· Able to handle administrative details independently, while keeping stakeholders appropriately informed or engaged
· Confident and thoughtful in applying sound business judgment
· Grace under pressure, and the ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice
· Highly motivated, organized individual who is able to work effectively with minimal supervision
· Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to improve processes
· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time
· Working knowledge of additional languages such as French, German, Italian, or Spanish seen as a plus.
· Understanding of history and interest in equity, race and ethnicity, gender, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, veterans, and marginalized communities or strong willingness to learn and be curious in this space
