Job Description

Job Title:Supervisor

Reports To:Vice President or Manager

Summary

Plans and directs production operations including training, safety, and administration of plant and corporate policies.  Achieve labor efficiency, manufacturing cost, safety, housekeeping, and non-union objectives while operating in an MRP, Continuous Improvement, Quality Management System.  Organize resources to support production of established products and simultaneously provide support for new product introductions to the business.  Also, responsible for ensuring the Department's conformance to the company quality system in accordance with customer and company requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position encompasses the staffing, supervision, direction and training of direct hourly and salaried personnel for the modification, assembly; receiving, preparing, and shipping product; production operation and customer service centers.  Supports all product manufacturing, and engineering in the design and introduction of new products and product modifications to insure cost efficiency, manufacturability, quality, and safety requirements are attainable in the production process.  Responsible for interfacing with Human Resources and others as required to maintain and develop workforce while maintaining productive environment.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.  Knowledge of the principals of personnel supervision and strong interpersonal skills required.  Prior supervisory experience preferred.
