Essential Functions/Responsibilities: May Schedule labor per the production schedule across all departments following the negotiated collective bargaining contract. Helps Maintain Schedule Soft System to ensure that all information on employees is updated and correct. Interfaces with Operations and Human Resources to ensure that the appropriate amount of full time, relief and seasonal positions are bid, trained and filled to optimize the labor schedule. May Identify labor needs for present and future scheduling and communicate with Human Resources to ensure that we have enough people in the labor pool to fill open positions. Prepare the daily schedule and adjustments to be made to cover meetings, training, employee call offs or production schedule changes. May Serve as technical advisor for the solution of difficult labor scheduling issues. Interfaces with Production Managers and Supervisors on employee scheduling and Kronos issues. May Provide information as needed to Operation Manager such as Actual vs. Budgeted labor reports, employee training and evaluation reviews, bid qualification forms, etc. Provide training and guidance to other schedulers. Continuously expand and update professional knowledge and develop training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience: Working knowledge of computer scheduling programs (i.e. Kronos) and department computer system is beneficial. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and effective interpersonal skills. Fluency in Spanish a plus.
