The initial opportunity for this posting is as a Warehouse Operator, focused on safe forklift operation and the warehousing of packaged product. Future opportunities for internal growth include Auto-Bagging Operator, Warehouse Operator, Processing Operator and Bulk Operator

Principal accountabilities:

• Customer-focused with ability to complete orders accurately and reliably
• Safe forklift operation and the warehousing of packaged product. Assure all loads are accurately labeled, clean, free from damage, stretch wrapped and top sheeted. Use proper storage methods and re-work product if defects are identified.
• Consistently perform physical labor in challenging conditions.
• Utilizing computer systems to input and record data as necessary
• Assure all loads are accurately labeled, clean, free from damage, stretch wrapped and top sheeted prior to placing product in warehouse or outdoor storage. Use proper storage methods.
• Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Requirements

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic use of a computer and typing skills
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred

• High School diploma or Equivalent
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, inventory systems, SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Forklift certified
• Prior experience in production related work
