Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform tasks in the bagging and shipping/receiving area to ensure proper production, loading and shipping of packaged salt products, by operating equipment such as bagging machines, shipping computers, and pallet inverters.
  • Safely operate motorized vehicles used to move or lift products, equipment, or materials within and around plant.
  • Operate computers to check work orders/schedule, print shipping paperwork and labels
  • Perform general tasks around plant with minimal supervision
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Basic computer operation skills to perform data entry for label production and monitoring of inventory and shipment completion; warehouse/shipping software, SAP software, or inventory management software.


Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to liftproduct and tools up to 50 lbs. at various heights. This can be a frequent requirement depending on need. with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Be physically able to performthe job duties includingbending, kneeling, crawling, and twisting safely, stooping, shoveling, sweeping, pounding with hammers, climbing stairs and ladders, opening and closing valves, and extended driving/riding/maneuvering of forklifts.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4ft and above)
  • Forklift experience
  • At least 6 months of experience in a production or plant environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Forklift Certified
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (ex., packaging machinery, etc.)
