Cox Communications is looking for a Product Owner (Microsoft Employee Experience Platforms) who can drive definition of Solutions related to the Cox Intranet, Employee Social Collaboration, Information Architecture, Internal Employee Channels, Technical Content Authoring Tools and Employee Analytics.
Key tools within this space include Microsoft 365 Intranet, Yammer, Stream, Microsoft Viva, Email Marketing tool and Rewards tools. In this role, you will collaborate directly with business units and IT leadership to define Cox Communications corporate employee experience strategies and the tools platform roadmap. You will drive guidance of the applications, review and define governance recommendations as well as provide direction on future features for the platforms.
As the Platform Owner will be a key stakeholder in driving the vision for the end product and a sense for how it will fit into the company’s long-term goals. You will define, document and prioritize the work that needs to be done.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Lead projects to improve the overall tools leverage for the employee experience platforms such as the Intranet along with new tools supporting the solutionsDesign and collaborate on the company's information architecture including Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint Online, Yammer and the Intranet
Coordinates tool governance council meetings and updates intranet governance standards as required on an ongoing basis.
Research, recommend, and implement new employee experience technology based on emerging trends
Provide guidance, roadmap recommendations and strategic inputs as a SME of the platforms
Continuously evolve analytics and reporting metrics by monitoring and overseeing social engagement on the Intranet and other platforms.
In partnership with the digital communications team, enables the successful adoption of the applications across all business functions.
Assesses emerging cloud technologies to improve features and capabilities along with the business teams
Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge by attending seminars vendor presentations and reading professional literature.
Point of contact to multiple Corporate Departments
Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
Manage and groom backlog of user stories and acceptance criteria with the business owners
Participate in daily stand-ups
Qualifications:
Minimum:
3-5+ years of experience in Technology Product Owner positions 3-5+ years of experience in direct input to Information Architecture
3-5 years of experience with Microsoft 365 Platforms as it relates to Employee Experience
Strong communication skills (oral and written) including presentation (PowerPoint) with both business and technical leaders/peers
Experience with modern web-based interfaces, including social sites.
Ability to adjust on time sensitive tasks and lead outage calls
Ability to accomplish tasks both independently and collaboratively
Strong IT project management skills with familiarity of Agile/Scrum processes
Ability to effectively lead meetings both face-to-face and remote
Preferred:
Knowledge of social media platform algorithms and metrics.
Knowledge of journalistic writing and understanding of what makes a compelling story.
Skill and ability in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Pro.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
