This role is responsible for leading the business direction for the Hill’s to Home cross-functional product team .Key responsibilities include business leadership of the platform roadmap and user experience, merchandising and content management, and ensuring operational excellence.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
 

Product Direction and Leadership

• Provide business leadership into the agile sprint planning prioritization process.  
• Articulate the business strategy and guide the product roadmap to maximize growth.
• Create business input into requirements to ensure efficiency and quality of implementation.
   

User Experience

• Work closely with UX Design team and the Dev Team to provide input into and approval of Vet Portal UX / UI.
• Identify UX opportunity areas and champion their resolution.
   

Merchandising & Content Management

• Collaborate cross-functionally to keep portal content updated and merchandised on point with latest learnings and trends.
• Manage on-platform execution of new SKUs, SKU changes, and SKU discontinuations

Operational Excellence

• Partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to consistently provide an excellent experience to VHCT and pet parents.
• Lead cross-functional team to manage any Hill’s to Home fulfillment issues, particularly Out of Stock challenges.
• Work closely with the Hill’s to Home Customer Service team to ensure that the platform enables them to efficiently deliver outstanding service, partner with them on service-related end user communication as needed.
• Keep Hill’s to Home what’s new, FAQ and training materials up-to-date.

Education/ Experience Requirements
 

• Basic qualifications include: BS/BA with 7+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or a commercial role; strong analytical skills.
• Preferred qualifications include: MBA,experience working closely with development teams in an agile methodology, experience with eCommerce platforms
   

Expected Areas of Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
 

• Ability to work effectively across functions, channels, and categories to align priorities, solve problems, optimize resources, and drive effective execution
• Able to manage multiple projects, balancing many deliverables and timelines with an understanding of their relative priorities
• Capable of understanding technical complexity and developing clear requirements for developers
• Understanding of UX / CX principles
• Strong analytical skills; able to extract insights from large datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate level (or greater) Excel / Sheets (including comfort with pivot tables & vlookups) & Google slides (slide design principles, animations)
